We are currently accepting resumes for LDAP Server Integration Engineers nationwide.
The selected candidate will perform the following duties:
- Perform field integration of Solaris 10, LDAP, directory servers at various locations within the U.S. and Canada (50-60% travel)
- Travel will typically be Monday through Friday
- Most projects will require 2 to 3 weeks of on-site work at one time and then remote for a couple weeks
- May travel to other countries such as South America, however, there is no identified need at this time
- Responsible for integrating LDAP directory servers on which other applications rely
- Act as the face of the Client at customer sites
- Install and configure the 8661 Directory Server and Proxy Server
- Understanding the configuration file and parameters of each 8661 server and how to load balance traffic on the Proxy Server
- Configuring the F5 Load Balancer
- IP Multipathing and VIP configuration
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong LDAP Administration experience using the Sun One Directory Server
- Strong Solaris 10 system administration experience
- Networking experience to be able to resolve networking problems that may arise at
the customer site
- Integrating applications, including installation, checkout and acceptance testing
- Demonstrated the ability to work with application teams to verify that the application works after integration
- Proven expertise in integrating complex systems consisting of multiple servers and performing checkout and acceptance testing of the systems
- Use of quality processes to ensure that the system enters production smoothly without any negative impact on the customer's production systems or networks
- In-depth knowledge of File system setup and verification and tuning Solaris for performance
- Expertise in designing test cases to determine that the system meets specifications
- Experience in preparing for and leading customer acceptance tests
- Over 10 year of professional experience, with 5 years in Solaris administration; at least 2 years of Solaris 10 administration
- Ability to debug networking issues that may arise during the installation
- Perform subscriber migration
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Good technical judgment and initiative
- Understands the value of following processes and consider the impact on the overall system before making changes in order prevent any outages in the production environment
- Good written and oral communication skills and have prior experience in working effectively with end customers during the installation and integration process
- Ability to remain professional with customers in deadline/quality driven scenarios
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as ksh or Perl
- Messaging experience
- Experience in XTML
