Medical Office Assistant II (Endocrinology)

· House patients and prepare them for the provider's visit. This includes getting vitals, obtaining chief compliant, medication list and having patient undress to the appropriate level for the visit.

· Ready the exam room with the appropriate equipment before patient visits.

· Set up for all procedures and assist the provider during the patient visit as needed.

· Wash, wrap and sterilize equipment.

· Prepare, administer and chart immunizations, injections and medications per guidelines.

· Per provider request, perform tests on patients such as EKG's, Oximetry , Spirometry.

· UA's, Rapid Strep, eye exam, etc.

· Keep assigned rooms stocked appropriately and complete individual nurse duties.

· Complete paperwork and make call backs for providers as requested including calling in prescriptions, calling patients regarding test results, calling for next day appointments, scheduling team physician appointments, etc.

· Be a contributing member of the team in assisting in the efficiency of the workflow and in the education of the residents.

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: Greater than 6 months in a medical office setting

License / Certification / Registration: Medical Assisting Certification from an accredited college/program (5 years or greater experience as an MOA may be substituted).
