Quality Control Analyst: SunTrust

This position is located in the Quality Control Department and the main focus will be to review performing and non performing closed loans from all 3 mortgage channels) to ascertain if loans met credit and closing requirements of the particular investor/agency and to determine if loan is salable in current form and to concisely and consistently state such findings in a manner understood by audit audience. All products offered by STM inclusive of government (FHA/VA/Bond), 1 time Construction Perm., Agency and Portfolio and Equity loans/lines may be reviewed. In addition to regulatory required audits reviews will also include "value added" audits based on STM specific areas of risk in addition to requests from external sources ( ex. MI companies, trade "kick outs" from specific end investors,etc).

Minimum of 5 years mortgage experience, 3 years underwriting experience of which 2 years should include underwriting government (FHA,VA), Bond and/or 1 time Construction/perm loans.
Strong UW and analytical skills and knowledge of closing requirements.
Strong knowledge of agency/investor guidelines and in depth experience with both AUS underwritten and traditionally UW loan products.
Demonstrated strong PC skills inclusive of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access. Demonstrated ability to create and maintain Excel spreadsheets. Working knowledge of MLCS, STM Partners and Fidelity a plus.
Excellent verbal and written skills and self starter in a fast-paced environment

Preferred
Flexibility in managing workload. Skill in developing concise conclusions/recommendations and expressing them in written format.
