I. Summary (Scope of the Job)

This position will work closely with the Senior Director of Global Strategic Sourcing on a daily basis to create a disciplined environment that focuses on cost transparency, analytical rigor, change management, and commitment to standardized processes. This position will have responsibility for automating processes, developing an annual budget for Masonite’s direct production material on a global basis, and integrating the results of Indirect Materials and Services savings initiatives into the operating plans of the business. This position will work with the Global Category Directors and Category Managers to put together in depth analysis of sourcing and procurement “total cost of ownership” opportunities for improvement. This position will develop metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Global Strategic Sourcing team. This position will be tasked with analyzing all processes within Global Strategic Sourcing and leading the reengineering process to create productivity enhancements. This position will work closely with IT and Finance to develop, test, and implement sourcing and procurement administration tools. This position will constantly communicate with global supply chain, stakeholder and finance personnel.

II. Major Responsibilities

1. Develop strategies that reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) by 4% annually.

2. Automate procedures and create system enhancements to improve productivity.

3. Assist in the development of KPI tracking and compliance reporting.

4. Develop and distribute key supply chain reports to senior management.

5. Assist in the development of core strategic sourcing programs and automated scorecards.

6. Develop 3rd party spend administration database and compliance reporting.

7. Work with Senior Director, Global Strategic Sourcing to develop global materials budgets.

8. Work with Senior Director, Global Strategic Sourcing to analyze sourcing processes and develop improvement strategies.

9. Work with Global Category Directors and Category Managers to develop TCO improvement opportunities

10. Help Strategic Sourcing team with project management as needed.

11. Represent Strategic Sourcing team and ensure data integrity across Global Sourcing.

12. Monitor budget variances and work with appropriate personnel to get things on track.

13. Develop global category profiles and spend database.

14. Analyze spend data and perform in depth financial analysis.

15. Work to automate the supplier payment process.

16. Work with Supply Chain personnel to rewrite supplier contracts to incorporate performance objectives.

17. Create standardized procedures for Strategic Sourcing personnel to retrieve material cost performance and usage reports.

18. Create standardized procedures for accessing key data in Masterpack.

19. Responsible for maintaining global spend database.

20. Responsible for routinely evaluating the administration tools within the Strategic Sourcing organization.

21. Communicate daily with finance and plant personnel.

22. Travels as necessary to guarantee project success.

23. Performs other duties as assigned.

III. Background Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required. Information Technology minor preferred.

Experience:

Cost accounting or Information Technology experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent verbal, written, negotiation and organizational skills. Strong PC skills including spreadsheets, word-processing and database management. Strong contract administration skills. Strong management and team motivating skills, with the ability to work with all levels within the organization. Strong prioritization, planning, reporting and organizational skills. Extensive cost accounting experience relative to global sourcing and management reporting experience a must.
