Minimum Requirements :
Education: Bachelors degree in a technical field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: Entry level for Facility Planning, may include a minimum 8 years of Facility Maintenance related work.

Job Description :
This position is contingent upon successful award of the Missile Defense Agency Engineering and Services Support (MiDAESS) contract located at The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Huntsville, Alabama. The anticipated award date is November/December 2009. Positions will be primarily based in Huntsville, Alabama, but may require work at other MDA sites.
The Facility Planning Specialist is responsible for insuring efficient utilization and accountability for space and facilities based on needs, space limitations, and cost considerations. Facility services relate to new construction, remodeling, building maintenance, and rearrangement; including assuring compliance with all applicable codes, rules, regulations, laws, and Company standards. Work requires knowledge of cost estimating, planning and scheduling techniques.
Responsibilities: Under limited supervision, works on assignments of moderate complexity. Analyzes space utilization requests and requirements and recommends appropriate alternatives. Work involves a wide interface with all levels of management, and with outside contractors and vendors. May help compile and present reports regarding schedule progress, cost analysis, and forecast. May utilize computerized programs for the analysis of requirements and tracking of a project.
