Republic Intelligent Transportation Services (ITS), founded in 1991, is a national electrical contracting and transportation engineering firm. We specialize in Intelligent Transportation Services which include, but are not limited to the engineering, maintenance, repair, construction, and ongoing operation of traffic signals, streetlights, call boxes, digital cellular technology upgrades, energy efficiency upgrades and other utility infrastructure. POSITION SUMMARY: The National Sales Manager will work closely with senior management to define the company’s strategic marketing plan and set sales goals and objectives; manage and drive sales growth; and build upon the existing sales team to create a top notch nationwide sales and marketing organization. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of building a successful marketing and sales organization at a regional or national level. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons. · Directs the development of sales plans and unique marketing solutions necessary to achieve name recognition and profitable growth. · Formulates, implements, and monitors sales goals and strategies on a national level. · Actively participates in relevant industry events and activities as a company representative; ensures positive image of the company. · Directs and coordinates trade show and industry conferences on a national basis. · Provides leadership, support, and collaborative focus to the sales and marketing effort on a national scale. · Creates and actively manages the development of specific sales plans pertinent to specific lines of business and accounts as necessary to reach objectives, profitable growth, and market share/image enhancement. · Coordinates with Regional Managers, Project Managers, and other appropriate company personnel to plan, revise, and implement sales and marketing strategies. · Provides oversight and approvals of company marketing materials including company website, business cards, stationary, signage and other items with company name or logo. · Maintains a close working relationship with national accounts. · Recruits, hires, and trains qualified sales and marketing staff; continually supports and motivates team. · Manages the daily activities of sales and marketing staff including travel. · Provides leadership to enhance customer satisfaction. · Forecasts sales, monitors results, and reports on effectiveness of sales and marketing staff activities; prepares and monitors sales and marketing budget. · Continually gathers and monitors information on competition and market trends; communicates information to sales and marketing staff and others as needed. · Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of industry. · Provides timely and accurate reports as required. · Performs other duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: · Supervises sales and marketing staff on a national basis.
QUALIFICATIONS: · Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent. · 3 – 5 years minimum related experience building a sales & marketing organization. · Experience in construction services, electrical services, or energy services industry preferred. · Proven leadership and business acumen skills. · Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates. · Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions. · Creative, flexible, and innovative team player. · Commitment to excellence and high standards. · Basic competence in duties and tasks of supervised employees. · Ability to work with all levels of management. · Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization. · Excellent problem resolution and consultative sales skills. · Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. · Strong interpersonal skills. · Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. · Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel. · Charismatic and willing to be a spokesperson for the company. · Significant travel required.
