Gas and Oil Production Engineer

An exciting opportunity has opened for a Senior Production Engineer to join a rapidly growing, Independent Oil and Gas Company located in Eastern Texas . The ideal candidate will take a hands-on approach to operations management and have a diverse background within the oil and gas industry.

Job Description

• Directly responsible for all aspects of production (primarily natural gas) from critical regional operations
• Assist and support Operations Engineers in the technical and economic evaluation of acquisition targets, evaluation of new properties, and development of enhancement project plans
• Coordinate engineering aspects of production, workovers, compression, and gathering
• Responsible for people development and maintenance of a team environment focused on learning and continuous improvement
• Keep direct contact with the Senior Operations Manager and Company President

All candidates MUST have the following experiences to qualify for consideration

• BS in Petroleum Engineering or BS in Mechanical Engineering
• Must have at least 7 years experience managing oil and gas operations, including management of personnel, planning, and reporting
• Experience in a supervisor/management role within the industry
• Strong Knowledge of marginal natural gas wells
• Strong operations working knowledge of all surface and down-hole production equipment including plunger lifts systems, compression, gathering systems, and gas production enhancement
• Must have a strong attention to detail and be able to thrive within a team environment
