SQL SERVER DATABASE DEVELOPER

The Opportunity

We see this as an exciting opportunity to join our global software development team as a SQL Server Database Developer working on our world-class enterprise software. You will solve complex reporting and analytics problems in a high availability OnDemand software environment. We are looking for someone who has strong database application design and development skills using leading edge Microsoft technology.

Success in this role will provide a host of additional opportunities for technical and professional growth. Experience in a startup environment or on global software team is preferred.

Responsibilities

· Apply technical skills and business knowledge to meet the broad range of end-user, reporting and analytics requirements

· Coding of SQL Server stored procedures, user defined functions and triggers

· Hands on experience with SQL Server indexes and execution plans

· Experience performance tuning SQL Server databases and troubleshooting bugs

· Experience with SQL Server reporting services and notification services

· Identify opportunities, make recommendations, and implement system performance/optimization and enhancements

· Experience in a 24x7 production database environment managing a dynamic web application interfacing a multi-tiered web application server with zero downtime

Experience / Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering related field

· 5+ years of database application development experience with Microsoft SQL Server

· Experience with ASP.net, C#, HTML, Java script, CSS

· Ability to communicate technical issues and project details

· Strong problem solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset

· Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

· Proven understanding of the SDLC

Other Desired Skills

· Experience with SaaS (Software-as-a-Service)

· Experience with Microsoft Team System/Team Foundation Server (TFS)
