Healthcare Data Analyst - Eden Prairie, MN
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct research studies that may include analyzing, reviewing, trending and presenting information to support or refute hypotheses leading to the identification of heath care fraud and abuse
- Data analysis of medical claim history to substantiate fraud and abuse allegations stemming from pattern analysis, subject matter experts, professional associations, media and other sources
- Identify, coordinate, draft, execute, and present analyses on estimated over payments and other identified aberrant billing patterns
- Develop case strategies that take into consideration the legal, customer service and financial implications of each case
- Summarize and present complex patterns of fraud and abuse to internal and external subject matter experts and customers

Requirements:

3+ yrs experience using SAS
-
2+ yrs experience with fraud and abuse data mining and analysis
-
2+ yrs demonstrated ability to conceptualize client business problems and design analytic projects to address these problems
Assets:

Proficiency with MS Office applications including Access, Excel and Word

Health care claims data analysis experience a plus
-
Medicaid and/or Medicare program knowledge

SIU work experience a plus

Bachelors degree in Health Administration, Finance, Health Care Informatics or equivalent experience
