Analyze raw data files, target tables and creation of load estimates to streamline the ETL process. Provide day-to-day technology support, analysis and trouble-shooting of all ETL issues encountered by the Client Service teams. Analyze user requirements and procedures to improve existing systems. Responsible for modeling business processes and data and drafting logical data models. Produce and review data/information models and preliminary system architecture. Create technical specifications from Functional Use cases. Create high level process flow design and ETL architecture. Analyze data and creation of load estimates to streamline ETL process. Develop, test and implement ETL jobs using the DataStage (Server edition/ Enterprise Edition PX) tools: Dataset, file-set, Lookup, Join, Row generator, Funnel, Peek, Change Data Capture. Develop ETL jobs using SAS. Incorporate DataStage jobs with Wrapper scripts in order to schedule jobs in a production environment using Autosys tool. Review computer system capabilities and work flow in order to determine appropriate upgrades and improvements. Review, analyze, and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing for a large-scale computer system. Web programming with MVC architecture using Java Struts framework and Perl Pagekit architecture. Research and correct production issues encountered during and after implementation. Evaluate system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Develop, test and implement stored procedures to support the ETL jobs using SQL/PLSQL in Oracle/DB2 database. Provide expertise in software systems programming, operating software applications and overall operating systems. Utilize HP UNIX Operating System, UNIX shell Scripting, Oracle 10g, stored procedures using PL/SQL, PERL, DataStage Enterprise Edition PX, SAS, Java, Autosys technologies to fulfill the job duties. Qualifications · Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
· 5 years of related, progressive, post-baccalaureate experience.
· Must have demonstrated experience with creating technical specifications from Functional Use cases and creating high level
process flow design and ETL architecture; data analysis and creation of load estimates to streamline ETL process;
developing, testing and implementing ETL jobs using DataStage tools: (Dataset, file-set, Lookup, Join, Row generator,
Funnel, Peek, Change Data Capture); developing, testing and implementing stored procedures to support the ETL jobs
using SQL/PLSQL in Oracle/DB2 database; and Web programming with MVC architecture using Java Struts framework and
Perl Pagekit architecture.
