POSITION SUMMARY The Dispatcher monitors through observation and/or security
related devices, along with receiving all in-coming calls for assistance, for
the hospital buildings, premises and employees, taking appropriate action to
assign Security Officers and/or call in out-side emergency agencies to
mitigate/prevent harm or damage to life and property. Responsible for Dispatcher
duties as identified in the Security department policy manual. This position
will be responsible for the duties in this job description in the Torrance
Continuum of the Little Company of Mary Service Area. II. MINIMUM
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED 1.High School diploma or equivalent. 2.1
year internal or 2 years external Security/Law Enforcement Dispatch experience
with progressive responsibilities. 3.Must be familiar with electronic security
systems. 4.Must be familiar with windows based office suite programs. 4.Ability
to speak, read, and write the English language.
