General Summary: The Diet Aide assists the Cooks in the preparation and delivery of patient and non-patient meal service. Supportive duties such as answering the telephone, dishwashing, waiting on cafeteria customers, stocking, and general kitchen housekeeping duties are also the responsibility of the Diet Aide. The Diet Aide is under direct supervision of the Nutrition Services Supervisor and the cook on duty.
Required: High school diploma or equivalent, with current Food Handler's Certificate. Must be able to read and write English and have basic math skill, as well as be able to stand or walk for long periods of time and lift 5 to 25 pounds.
Shift: Rotating/Variable Shift.
