Senior Roadway Engineer/Project Manager

Hartwig & Associates is looking to add a Senior Roadway Engineer/Project Manager to our team. This position will provide opportunities to work on exciting projects throughout Colorado . The successful candidate will work to grow our company and develop new clients in the transportation market area. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of transportation design from conceptual/preliminary engineering to final design, developing and maintaining client relationships including preparing and presenting proposals, and coordinating the planning and execution of project tasks, managing project staff, scheduling and budgetary oversight. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of transportation modes with both public and private clients. We are seeking a service-oriented, collaborative leader who has the technical credentials and people skills to help us provide successful results for our clients.

Qualifications required include Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or related field. Candidate should have at least 10 years of relevant experience in roadway engineering and project management.

Responsibilities will include design, construction plan development as well as interaction and coordination with clients, other engineers, CAD operators, technicians, and support staff.

Job Requirements:

• 10+ years of engineering experience
• Registered Professional Engineer in Colorado
• Ability and experience working both in a team environment and independently
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Microstation and InRoads experience a plus
• Ability to multi-task, work expeditiously, take initiative, work with a diverse group of engineers and technicians, adhere to schedules, and learn quickly when facing new problems
• Proposal scope and fee preparation experience

Skills and experience of a preferred candidate will include some or all of the following: roadway design, civil site design, utility design and coordination, traffic engineering, roadway drainage systems, and project coordination.
