Application Systems Analyst: WR Systems Ltd.

W R Systems, LTD has an immediate need for an Application Systems Analyst at our customer site in Alexandria, VA. Position responsibilities to include but are not limited to using a comprehensive knowledge of IT concepts, principles, methods & practices to plan and implement difficult, complex assignments; information system SW & systems development life cycles including systems documentation, design development, configuration management, data administration, systems integration, testing, deployment and support. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of applications for the Internet/Intranet, web applications and networking systems and will support the Sr. Business Systems Analyst in all facets. The candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision and must be able to communicate with all levels of management.



This position requires that you support the following Human Resources specific applications:

• FASCLASS;
• ASEMS;
• Electronic Case File;
• Statistical Survey Report.

The chosen candidate will perform detailed analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance tasks in new or existing web applications both independently and as lead programmer working with teams.

Job Description:

• Perform assigned software programming and testing tasks;
• Provide day to day support of the applications at this location;
• Perform requirements and system analysis, as assigned;
• Perform daily system maintenance responsibilities;
• Assist with client implementations;
• Monitor system availability;
• Perform system performance monitoring and reporting;
• Follow Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) customer established;
• Experience with SharePoint and Understanding of LDAP and SSO (Single Sign On) in a Web environment, and Web Services is a plus;
• Expertise in Problem debugging, problem solving applications running in IIS Server environment a plus.
  
  

The candidate must posses the following:

• Excellent communication and problem solving skills;

• Academic background in Computer Science or Engineering is a plus;
• Excellent documentation skills;
• Strong organizational, analytical, and collaborative skills;
• The ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  

The ideal candidate will be a Software Developer with experience in Classic ASP, ASP.net, VB.Net, Javascript, HTML, XML, CSS, Oracle DBMS, Visual Studio 2005 (or higher), and understanding of Javascript Framework, such as Ext JS, and jQuery is a plus.
