Sr Software Engineer I - Manufacturing, Oracle Data Base Admin

Job Description:
The Senior Software Engineer (SE) will provide database analysis of program requirements and database change management under the guidance of a Database Administrator while providing engineering analysis for the planning, coordinating, and testing of a variety of computer business application programs. Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Designs, models, documents, and guides the logical and conceptual relationship of data and database changes for complex applications - Analyzes needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems in order to develop technical, structural, and organizational specifications. - Leads multidisciplinary research and collaboration with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems software. - Determines computer user needs; advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements
* Participates in user acceptance test efforts for system upgrades and new systems for the Engineering and LPC departments.
* Leads projects to develop and implement improved IT infrastructure while acting as a liaison between the system users and IT developers to ensure requirements are complete and understood by both parties.
* Coordination with remote systems and applications support team to provide on-site support for program workstations and applications.
The position requires the SE to have strong technical, organization, and communication skills. The SE will routinely interact with the highest level of customer as well as end users and programmers. The ability to lead a team of personnel from multiple disciplines and multiple companies from idea inception to project completion is critical.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years IT experience - Manufacturing and/or Inventory Control Experience. - Oracle Database Administration experience and data management tools. - Experience in a formalized data change processes. - Manufacturing floor applications and systems support experience. - Experience with Web Application Servers and Networks - Strong communication skills, written and oral. - Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint). - Working knowledge of standard MRP processes/practices and the ability to leverage that knowledge into the implementation of a company wide solution.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in an IT, Engineering, Business, or Management field.
Desired Skills:
TRIDENT program experience (preferred).
Other Requirements (Clearance, travel):
SECRET - existing clearance preferred. Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
