scheduling, communication, and execution of runs; balance project priorities
with available resources to meet development timelines;
- Plan and conduct experiments, analyze data, determine root
causes, and therefore, drive process improvements. This includes specifying,
procuring, installing, qualifying and operating process equipment such as spinners,
glove boxes, laser ablation systems, thermal evaporators, and automated glue
dispensing equipment;
- Focus on optimizing cost, performance and lifetime through
improvements in surface preparation, patterning, spin coating, slot-die
coating, laser ablation, and thermal conditioning;
- Work with the Product Engineering, DCA and Technology
functions to establish methods for evaluating film thickness, film uniformity,
film morphology and other film properties, and in measuring overall film stack
performance;
The successful candidate will have the following:
- B.S. in Chemical, Electrical, Materials or Mechanical
Engineering. M.S. is preferred;
- Experience leading technical projects in a challenging and
frequently evolving environment;
- Experience managing technician level staff is a plus;

of these industries: semiconductors,
flat panel displays, photovoltaics, MEMs or nanotechnology;
- Experience with organic and/or metal evaporation,
photolithography and one or more of the following methods: spin-coating, slot-die (extrusion) coating,
spray coating, ink jet printing, gravure coating and/or screen printing.
Experience with organic electronics (OLED, OPV, OFET) which were produced with
high volume processes while using solvent delivery systems and/or formulated
inks, is a major plus;
- Familiarity with thin film measurement equipment such as profilometry,
ellipsometry, spectral reflectometry and AFM. Proficiency with this equipment
is a plus;
- Experience with statistical methods such as design of
experiments, process and gage capability and SPC. Familiarity with statistical software such as
Minitab or JMP is a plus;
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills are a must.
