Floater

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Floaters travel to various hospital locations and work with uninsured patients on their public assistance (Medicaid/charity) programs. We establish their eligibility for benefits and counsel them on the programs that are available and guide them through the process of applying. We also work as a liaison between the patients and state/Federal agencies to secure medical assistance program eligibility. The successful canddiate must be willing to travel and fill in for Representatives who are absent due to vacation, illness or personal reasons. Travel is required.

This will require working evening and weekend shifts on an as needed basis.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Working knowledge of Medicaid is helpful
• Must have a stable work history
• Experience with disability cases through the Social Security Administration is helpful
• Excellent customer service skills required
• Social service experience is a plus
• Bilingual skills are a plus
• Bachelor's degree is preferred but is not required
• Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends
• Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to drive your own car
