Work in the Mutuel Assignment Room at NYRA!

About Us:
The New York Racing Association, Inc. is a private, non-profit association that owns and operates the three largest racetracks in New York : Aqueduct, Belmont Park and Saratoga . Last year, more than two million people attended the races at NYRA tracks and enjoyed the finest quality of thoroughbred racing in the world.
At Aqueduct in Ozone Park, Queens, construction is planned for the addition of a casino with 4,500 Video Lottery Terminals (such as video poker, video slot machines, etc.).

Opportunity:

NYRA has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced assistant to work in our Mutuel Assignment Room! This position requires working a racing schedule (Wednesday to Sunday) and working at both Belmont Park and Aqueduct Racetracks. Work with the assignment team to administer the terms of the union contract with regards to pari-mutuel tellers. Participate in the preparation of the work schedule (layout) for all pari-mutuel tellers to ensure complete coverage of betting stations.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

· 2- 3 years of office experience.

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Some database knowledge required.

· Knowledge of union contracts and working in a CBA environment is beneficial.

· Excellent communication and writing skills.
