Outside Sales Carbon Flatroll



Responsibilities:

This position manages the overall sales and marketing effort of Flat rolled steel sales for a service center within an assigned territory. The incumbent utilizes frequent, direct face-to-face contact and a consultative sales approach to insure satisfaction of customer needs and confidence in our overall capabilities.

The Outside Sales Representative uses every customer contact to identify selling opportunities, selects those that are most desirable, and assertively acts upon the opportunities that offer maximum potential and/or profit. The incumbent must develop new accounts and maintain strong working relationships with established, loyal customers.

In addition, this position is responsible for developing annual forecasts and implementing plans and strategies to achieve revenue and volume targets. The incumbent partners with the Inside Sales Representative to assure high-quality service, including on time delivery according to customer specifications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field, (preferably Business Administration, Marketing, or Engineering), and/or comparable experience in Steel Sales required. Excellent written and oral communication skills, mathematical, computer and interpersonal skills required. This position demands high energy and the ability to travel.
