Technical Training Specialist

Horizon Software International, LLC (Horizon) is seeking highly motivated, goal-oriented applicants in the Los Angeles area for the position of Training Specialist (Trainer). The Trainer is a critical role in the successful planning, management and deployment of Horizon’s proprietary software solutions in our client environments. The Trainer is responsible for developing training plans and materials to train the client end users in the operation and functionality of the Horizon Proprietary Packaged Software.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge, skills and experience in the following areas:

· Proprietary Package Software Training Material Development

· Training Planning for large scale deployment projects

· Training Management and Reporting for large scale deployment projects

· Training Delivery for large scale deployment projects

· Evaluation of training programs and ability to make changes as needed to support project goals

This role will work with Los Angeles based and West Coast clients to manage engagements for the deployment of Horizon Proprietary Packaged Software.

Education Requirements:

* Four year IT degree (MIS, Computer Science, IST, Systems Engineering) plus 5 years of successful training experience or

* 7 years of successful training experience

Business Skills Required:

Technical Knowledge/Experience Required:

* Must possess a positive attitude

* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Ability to quickly identify and solve problems

* Career-minded with a strong work ethic

* Must be self-sufficient yet work well as part of a team

* Must be able to obtain a security clearance

* Windows 2000 / XP / Server 2000 & 2003

* Expert knowledge in MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word

* Train the Trainer Skills

* Experience with Package Software Installations

Additional knowledge of or experience with the following would be a plus:

* Food Service Industry IT

* Programming skills (Visual Basic .NET, Crystal Reports, MS Access, and XML)

* Bilingual (Spanish)
