GRAPHIC DESIGNER

You are applying for a position as a Graphical Designer. Graphic designers use images and type to generate the visual presentation for a wide range of products, including catalogs, retail product packaging, logos, posters, as well as websites and multi-media presentations. Almost all businesses and industries rely on graphic designers, especially the areas of publishing and advertising. The outlook for the graphic design field is bright, especially considering the growth and potential of the internet and its reliance on graphical design. Graphic Designers typically possess the following skills and attributes:

Ability to work under strict timeframes.
Ability to produce a variety of designs and ideas for a single project.
Good communication skills that allow you to explain your ideas and designs.
Good understanding of the business world.
Degree or coursework in product design, art or art history is a plus.
Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite and other design software.

While a college degree is not mandatory, you will find considerably higher salaries and more openings should you have a degree, certificate or are currently enrolled in a graphical design or internet marketing/design program.
