Job Description :
The CVN 78 class Warfare System has an opportunity for a mid to senior level Senior Systems Engineer I in support of three ships of the new Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) class. The successful strategic thinking candidate will leverage exceptional oral/written communications skills to support the engineering development of a Systems Requirement Specifications (SRS) for the CVN-78 class Warfare System. The Senior Systems Engineer I will utilize the Dynamic Object Orientated Requirements System (DOORS) tool for SRS change implementation as to ensure that all of the CVN-78 Warfare System requirements are clearly detailed. Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing engineering solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects. Additionally, the Senior Systems Engineer I will manage all of the engineering requirements and specifications and interace with other engineering disciplines throughout the CVN-78 Life Cycle Sustainment phase.
Required Skills:
* Minimum of 4 years related experience.
* Understanding of Dynamic Object Orientated Requirements System (DOORS)
* C omplete understanding and wide application of Systems Engineering, to include requirements derivation, decomposition, and allocation
* Experience in Systems Requirements Specification development
* Leadership experience to oversee and manage the Requirement Configuration Review Board (RCRB).
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
* Strong performance in a team environment
* Strong skills in MS Office suite of tools (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
* Candidate must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
* Occasional Travel in Required.
Desired Skills:
* Strong communication and computer skills enabling effective interface with customers,
* Experience with Earned Value Metrics System (EVMS).
* Familiar with Hardware and Software Configuration Management .
* Experience with Naval Warfare System.
* Experience with Systems Integration
Required Education (including Major): BS/BA in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or a related discipline.
