Director of Accounting: Controllers Group

Position Information

Brief Job Description:

The Director of Accountingis responsible for the Company's revenue recognition and revenue reporting function, credit and collections, and SEC reporting. This position also leads the Company's compliance testing related to the Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This is a director level position in charge of a group of 6 staff including one supervisor.
o Oversight of the accounts receivable/revenue group.
o Responsible for the Company's compliance with revenue recognition policies.
o Responsible for the Company's daily and weekly revenue flash, including the assurance of the validity and integrity of revenue reporting.
o Serve as technical expert for accounting issues through comprehensive and thorough knowledge of GAAP principles and applications.
o Own the SEC reporting process. Hold the position of the disclosure controls monitor for the company's disclosure committee. Responsible for the coordination
of external legal counsel, tax advisors and external auditors for the SEC reporting process.
o Ensure the Company's compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements with assistance from external advisors.
o Manage external auditors to ensure timely and efficient audits.
o Perform other projects as required.

Requirements:

o Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting/ Finance
o A minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible work experience. Management experience required.
o Experience in establishing and implementing financial and operational policies and procedures.
o Ability to work effectively with all levels of the company on technical and process issues.
o Strong decision-making skills and follow through with initiatives.
o Ability to multitask, prioritize and work under pressure in a deadline driven environment.
o Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP/SEC standards, internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
o Advanced excel skills, including the development and use of pivot table and lookup features.
o Demonstrated management leadership skills.
o High level of personal and professional integrity and ethical standard.
o CPA or equivalent certification with a combination of Big 4 + Public company experience highly desired.
