JOB SUMMARY:

(CNS) Clinical Nurse Specialist

Please note that for this position, preference will be given to applicants that have at least 5 years of experience in critical care, preferably in pediatric critical care.

JOB SUMMARY:


The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is an advanced practice nurse who, through study and supervised practice in nursing at the master's or doctoral level, has become an expert in an area of nursing. The Clinical Nurse Specialist functions autonomously and in collaboration with other health care providers as a practitioner, educator, consultant, clinical leader, and researcher.; In the state of California, a Clinical Nurse Specialist must be certified by the State Board of Nursing in order to use the title "CNS".

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Registered Nurse, State of California.


Master of Science in Nursing degree.

Two years clinical nursing experience.

Current CPR certification (Issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross provider)

Clinical Nurse Specialist certification, State of California.
