Sr. Project Engineer/Project Engineer: Liebert Corp.

Liebert, an Emerson Network Power business, the world leader in mission critical power and cooling technology currently is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer located in Columbus, Ohio.

Essential Functions Include:

· Assumes responsibility for projects that will satisfy management requirements for completion date, cost and quality and the customer’s requirement for delivery, performance, reliability and cost.

· Responsible for original product design and provides authoritative technical leadership to engineers and other team members.

· Approves normal drawing releases and engineering changes, assignment reports and literature for distribution.

· Provides manager with inputs on individual performance, promotion and discipline for assigned associates.

Qualifications include:

· Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5 - 8 years experience in cooling system design and testing are required, or Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3 – 5 years experience.

· Experience should include commercial air-conditioning and/or refrigeration products in an ISO 9000 environment that is very team oriented.

· Requirements include having experience designing equipment that uses refrigeration cycles with HCFC and HFC refrigerants.

· Demonstrated history of system design analysis, refrigeration component selection, testing, evaluation and modeling system performance.

· Knowledge of pumps, air moving equipment and controls is required.

· A strong heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics background is a requirement.

· Proficient use of Microsoft office products – Excel, Word, PowerPoint

· Candidate must have broad knowledge of precedents in specialty area and good knowledge of practices and principles of related specialties.

· Must have good planning, organizing, documentation and communication skills, as well as be team oriented.
