Health Dialog is a leading provider of care management services and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of BUPA, a global provider of healthcare services. Health Dialog helps physician groups, health plans, government agencies, and self-insured employers improve healthcare quality while reducing overall costs. The firm's offerings include disease management, analytic services, telephonic and online Health Coaching, health and wellness initiatives, and other care management support for individuals, payors, and physicians. Health Dialog helps individuals become more actively engaged in the management of their health and healthcare and have more effective relationships with their physicians.

The Predictive Modeler is responsible for creating statistical predictive models to identify patients with unmet clinical needs and predict likelihood of major medical events for individual patients. This person will also be responsible for working with both existing client data and third party information to develop analytic models that will drive a comprehensive outreach program. This position uses Health Dialog's longitudinal data repository of medical claims and survey responses for over 20 million covered lives to develop new models that will guide Health Dialog's intervention activities and continually improve Health Dialog's operations. Individual will also provide expert analytical consulting services related to study design, data analysis, and reporting of results for internal and external entities. Individual will work with an array of analytic staff across the organization and present results and other information to clients and senior level internal audiences.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create predictive models to advance business objectives
  • Ensure quality and statistical validity
  • Contribute to project design and lead project planning execution
  • Design, estimate and interpret analyses such as conjoint, logistic and linear regression, cluster analysis, factor analysis and CHAID
  • Effectively manage workload, deliverables within defined time constraints, and with all relevant resources
  • Act as a statistical or modeling mentor and consultant to other staff
  • Prepare formal strategic and tactical plans with goals, objectives and timelines
  • Travel to client sites as required (up to 15%)
  • Follow Health Dialog internal administrative policies, participate in operational processes

Experience Required
  • Graduate degree in relevant field (statistics, econometrics, etc.)
  • Experience in fast paced, innovative environment for this or related jobs
  • Experience with large relational databases
  • Experience with medical claims and HRA surveys preferred
  • Experience with SAS preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
