SAS PROGRAMMER

COMPANY INFO:
MedFocus offers clinical research contract outsourcing and staffing specifically to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. We specialize in the nationwide recruitment of clinical trials personnel.

Our client has committed themselves to high standards of integrity in contributing to the best interests of patients, the medical profession, their employees and communities and is seeking to add a SAS Programmer to their team in South San Francisco, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• gather information from Biostats, Statistical Programming, Clinical Science (MDs), Data Managers, and vendors regarding external clinical data for a trial
• codify the information into a data specification that clearly defines all necessary information to be collected and obtain team consensus on the spec
• develop and maintain standard specifications by data type and vendor
• track specification deliverables for Clinical Programming
• assist in the development of process documentation for specification development and management

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2-3 years of Base SAS in the pharmaceutical industry
• familiarity with a wide variety of lab, biomarker, assay, reading center, and CRF data
• 1-2 years working with data cleaning
• 1-2 years experience writing data specifications
• excellent writing, communication and teamwork skills
• process development experience a plus but not required
• CDISC experience a plus but not required
• Education: B.S. in Computer or Life Sciences
