Position Responsibilities:

• Accountable for scope, schedule, cost, GP, and quality on grass-roots and control system upgrade projects for Refining and Petrochemical clients
• Accountable for commercial and technical project execution, delivery; and customer satisfaction
• Lead FEED and implementation projects
• Develop Project Management Plan for each project
• Lead project team with other professionals
• Single point of contact for projects with Emerson management and with the client
• Responsible to work with resource managers to adequately staff projects
• Provide monthly project Revenue/Cost forecasts, accountable for project financials
• Work with new product technologies such as DeltaV, DeltaV SIS, FOUNDATION fieldbus, AMS
• Utilize Emerson estimating tools and follow Emerson Global PMO processes
• Participate or lead proposal development when required; estimating project management efforts on projects and scheduling projects for proposals
• Keep Operations Director informed of any project challenges
• Lead monthly project reviews with Emerson management

Qualifications:

• Legal authorization to work in the USA on a full time basis for other than current employer
• BSEE or BSChE or equivalent and one or more of the following a plus: PMP , PE , MBA
• 2-4 years managing or leading control systems projects with large end users; scope includes:
  • Control system/DCS/automation/instrumentation/SIS
  • System definition & architecture
  • Electrical & Instrumentation, including instrument specs, control room design, control system power & grounding
  • Control system configuration (control & graphics) PLC integration, safety system integration field device integration, enterprise integration
  • Panels/skids/RIEs
  • Integration testing, FAT, site construction/installation, operator training, SAT, commissioning, and start-up or hot cutover
• Proven leadership; must be experienced at building & leading teams of diverse individuals of often distributed in different geographic locations
• Excellent business acumen, with clear understanding of Revenue/Cost/GP
• Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, cost
• Clear understanding of contracts, with ability to manage contracts with clients
• Experience in managing FEED studies for both grass-roots and control system upgrade projects; comfortable with P&ID walk-downs as well as control system functional specification development
• Experience managing both grass-roots and control system upgrade projects
• Experience managing both Fixed Price and Reimbursable projects
• Experience in working on projects for both end users and EPCs
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Comfortable in business development support role
• Proven ability to build and sustain customer relationships; comfortable as primary customer interface including with executive management; convey a professional image with customers
• Ability to organize work, with good attention to detail
• Sound technical knowledge of control systems
