Titan Contracting is looking for experienced Boilermakers/Boiler Tube Welders.
Boilermakers/Boiler Tube Welders must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and working drawings, plan welding work and make estimates of materials required, and fabricate metal components, using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and alloy welding and engineering requirements. Boilermakers/Boiler Tube Welders must be able and willing to perform all types of mechanical work including rigging.
Using the mentioned skills employees:

Must be able to pass weld test using 6010 rod, with plate in a downhill position.

Must be able to pass weld test using 7018 rod with plate in the 2g, 3g and 4g positions.

Must be able to pass carbon tube test in the 6g position comprised of GMAW root/hot and SMAW 7018 cap.

Must be able to meet or exceed quality and production set by site superintendent.

Must have a common knowledge of rigging and rigging components.
Responsibilities Include:
-
Tack-welds or weld components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment.

Weld vertical, horizontal and overhead positions utilizing SMAW (6010/7018).

Installing or repairing equipment, such as pipes and valves.
-
Analyzing engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.

Requirements:
· Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
· Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
· Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of various types of boilers.
· Knowledge of the practical application of principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various boilers.
· Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
