Manufacturing Programmer Analyst

Main Objective:
QAD application support for our manufacturing facilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the automation of manufacturing to create a state-of-art environment
Participates in gathering user/customer requirements with emphasis on manufacturing
Proficiency in the use of all MFG/PRO Modules
Proficiency in Progress 4GL programming
Ability to train users in MFG/PRO
User support and training for MFG/PRO modules, Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Shop Floor Control (Freedom), Scheduling Software (Preactor) and Manufacturing Quality
Maintain documentation and change control
Analyze business process potentials for streamlining and improvements in efficiencies
Meet regularly with departments to solicit feedback on needs

Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field required
5-7 years experience with MFG/PRO, Progress programming Automated Data Collection, Shop Floor Control
Experience in Manufacturing environments using MFG/PRO and related Software (Medical Device Manufacturing experience desirable)

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred
APICS certification, Six Sigma Black Belt, or MFG/PRO certification strongly preferred

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
PC servers, workstations and laptops. Microsoft environment. Work with standard current computer applications, word processing, spreadsheets, QAD, Freedom, Preactor and EAM.
