PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the maintaining, troubleshooting, and repair of Manufacturing Support Equipment; to include all equipment in surfacing and finishing departments. To stay current on all computer related equipment and to do all training on updates, modifications and installs of new equipment in these areas. This position also assists production in efficient operation through the use of preventive maintenance methods along with planned and unplanned work orders.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

R Responsible for daily maintenance and support of the Manufacturing Equipment.

Assist with the performance of all required preventive maintenance associated with the Lab.

Develop, read and understand machine drawings, mechanical component drawings, physical and equipment layout drawings, piping isometrics and electrical schematics.

Provide machine, electric, electronic and computer training to maintenance personnel.

Identify, specify, and requisition equipment spare parts as needed.

To assist in writing SOP s and PM s for present and new machines. To fill in for employees on vacation as needed.

Responsible for Maintenance personnel.

Responsible for Maintenance department expenses and budget.

A 4-year degree is preferred along with 10+ years of on the job experience.

Must have a proven ability to troubleshoot manufacturing facility equipment.

Must be able to read and interpret schematic diagrams.

Must be capable of independent decision-making.

Must be flexible and responsive to the needs of the business. Must have the ability to overcome obstacles and have the organizational skills necessary to complete assignments in a timely manner.

Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends as required to complete maintenance assignments.
