Job Description
Seeking a career minded individual to perform technical Project Management within the Water Technologies Division. Will ensure processes are executed consistently across all projects. Coordinates pre-sale feasibility cost and time estimates; Prepares detailed scope, price, work schedules and terms and conditions in response to client specifications; Designs, develops, and supervises all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery. May be responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Uses a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Participates as requested in advisory/quality control capacity during installation and initial operation. Determines and manages team resources to meet client specifications. Makes substantial modifications to standard techniques. Devises new approaches to problems encountered.
Business Impact: Teams with Project Managers/Engineering Managers on complex and/or very large projects and strategic initiatives. Has major impact on product line. Provides direct supervision of individual contributors to improve decision making, meet project schedules, minimize labor overruns and remove barriers to success. Transfers institutional knowledge to less experienced staff and drives lessons learned across the entire project portfolio. Drives completion of strategic goals.
Decision Making: Works under general supervision with varied procedures and practices. Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in all duties. Directs the work of Siemens employees and outside vendors. Interacts with vendors and clients. Operates under general management direction. Exercises independent decision making in area of expertise.
Knowledge, skills and abilities Required: 8-10 years experience. Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, practices and procedures. Plans, mentors and evaluates assigned resources. Possesses strong analytical skills. BSEE REQUIRED Project Management Certifications are highly desirable.
