MANAGE TRAINING

• Work cooperatively with the Executive Director, Director of Nursing Services, and facility staff in assessing training needs and plan programs to meet these needs and regulatory requirements.

· Ensures all nursing assistants hired by the facility have completed a certification program meeting state requirements.

• Ensures and maintains files of lesson plans for all programs taught to facility associates. Ensures records of all programs are maintained for 7 years.
• Maintains a current schedule of all students and outside instructors who may be in the facility doing clinical training.

· Maintains current nursing associates training tracking log for annual in-services according to license requirements.

ORIENTATION

AND JOB SKILLS

• Coordinates general orientation for all new associates beginning the first day of employment.
• Reviews and revises facility general orientation on an on-going basis as necessary, utilizing corporate orientation guidelines.
• Ensures the validity of certificates and their good standing for all CNAs hired. Contacts all state nurse aide registries in which associate has worked.
