JOB DESCRIPTION

OVERVIEW:

We currently have Store Management opportunities for our NEW STORE OPENING in Park Place and Tucson Mall. Candidates must have prior high volume management experience driving sales, recruiting high caliber associates, training and development and store operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

CUSTOMER

  • Ensure store meets and / or exceeds performance metrics
  • Create and take accountability for a consistent positive work environment that increases productivity and decreases unwanted turnover
  • Embrace, practice and lead all selling strategies
  • Analyze business reports, create and execute action plans in partnership with the DSM to improve any results

PEOPLE

  • Recruit, interview, select and retain the most qualified applicants in a timely manner
  • Coach and develop Associates for current and future responsibilities
  • Create a learning environment in the store by implementing dELiA*s training programs and ensuring compliance with Company assessment tools
  • Manage talent by retaining top performers and administering progressive discipline when applicable in a fair and consistent manner
  • Provide an open door policy where Associates are free to express their concerns and feeling without fear of retaliation or ill will

VISUAL

  • Coach and direct Associates on the implementation of dELiA*s visual merchandise guidelines and ensure compliance to the Visual Standards

OPERATIONS

  • Ensure all areas of the store are neat, clean and organized and operational as per Policy & Procedures
  • Write effective schedules as per Policy & Procedures and within budget as determined by the Company
  • Maintain acceptable inventory shrinkage, not exceeding established goals
  • Fully responsible for the Division of Responsibility Program
  • Ensure all Loss Prevention Policies are followed and report suspected or known theft to supervisor, LPI or Hotline

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

  • 3-5 years previous high volume store manager retail store experience
  • Demonstrated success in assessing, selecting, training and developing store teams
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent fashion merchandise presentation standards
  • Ability to read, interpret and set strategies based on administrative reports

Education:

  • High School graduate or equivalent

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to climb, reach, bend and lift up to 30 pounds frequently, 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to operate a cash register
  • Ability to stand and work on the stores sales floor for extended periods of time-80% or more of total shift
  • Ability to effectively communicate through written and oral interactions.
