Health Choice Network (HCN) is a nationally-recognized health services company based in Doral. We work with more than 50 community health centers to improve the quality and accessibility of medical, dental and mental health care provided in underserved communities.
Health Choice Network is searching for a Citrix Administrator to join our Network Operations team at the Corporate office in Doral.
Core Responsibilities:
- Supports and encourages others to support the Mission , Core, Values and Goals of Health Choice Network
- Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software-related problems.
- Responsible for the direct management of Citrix Specialist(s).
- Maintains day-to-day computer systems operations at network level.
- Responsible for trouble-shooting system problems: e.g., lockups, system errors and hardware component malfunctions as required.
- Installation of new and upgraded hardware at Network.
- Follows guidelines established in HCN MIS Consistency policy, Support Policies and Procedures, and User Code of Ethics.
- Follow up with center contacts on outstanding issues on a regular basis.
- Create and track cases in the HCN Service Call log (HEAT), update on a regular basis, and communicate to appropriate parties in a timely manner.
- Is available after hours, as necessary, to assist with emergency IT issues.
Education, Certifications, Experience and other requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited college or university with at least a Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field, or a minimum of seven (7) year’s experience in an IT-related position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to type at least 45 wpm and possess extensive knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications including Office, Excel, Project, Access, and Outlook.
- Required IT certifications include CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ and/or Microsoft Certified Professional in any Windows Server 2003 core exam or Microsoft Certified IT Professional in a Windows 2008 exam, preferably Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
- Citrix Certified Administrator XenApp 4.5/5.0 (CCA) is REQUIRED.
- Superior knowledge of Windows operating systems and PC hardware components and overall proficiency with these components.
- Proven experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows XP, Windows VISTA, Windows 2003 Server.
- Proven experience in Citrix presentation server 4.5 or Citrix XenApp 5.0 in a Windows 2003 infrastructure.
- Experience troubleshooting LAN/WAN issues in a Windows 2003 network infrastructure.
- Knowledge of telecom fundamentals, i.e. PBX or VOIP systems.

Understanding of email protocols including SMTP, POP3, MAPI, and IMAP in a Microsoft Exchange environment.

Exceptional planning, time management, problem solving and logical troubleshooting computer skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills and excellent Customer Service skills including telephone conversations and face-to-face.

Must be willing to travel outside of home base of employment to member centers, as required to provide support.

Position may require long weekday and weekend hours and being on-call on a rotating basis.

Previous experience in community health center, medical office or dental office setting and/or knowledge of Healthcare Information Systems, preferably with the Medical Manager system preferred.
This position reports directly to the Senior Systems Administrator.
