Key responsibilities may include:
  • Responsible for inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items, including supplies, and equipment
  • Performs material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops
  • Writes item descriptions for a range of new items entering the supply channels of a particular agency or field establishment
  • Reviews existing stock catalogs, manufacturers' catalogs, drawings, or other resource materials, for the purpose of matching characteristics or part numbers to identify duplicate items already catalogued or otherwise recorded in the supply system
  • Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data, to establish the facts, and to take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines
  • Assist with loading and unloading of deliveries as needed
  • Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude
  • Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high volume environment
  • Handles sensitive documents in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Handle time-sensitive material like confidential, urgent packages
  • Maintain all logs and reporting documentation as required
  • Consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines
  • Take direction from supervisor or site manager
  • Participate in cross-training
  • Good reading and communication skills
  • Adhere to all safety procedures
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

PBGS is currently seeking full time Supply Technicians who are career-minded, and able to work in a fast paced environment. A minimum of one year related experience is required. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate the following qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
  • A minimum of one year related experience in supply, inventory and/or logistics environment required
  • A minimum of one year experience in a customer service environment preferred
  • Good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, and other established guidelines required
  • Good credit history, with no accounts currently in collections required
  • Valid drivers license with good driving record required
  • Experience driving a forklift preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
  • Competency in performing multiple functional tasks
  • Ability to meet employer's attendance policy
  • Heavy lifting and moving objects
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Significant walking
  • Willingness to submit to a full background investigation
  • Willingness to submit to a pre-employment drug screening
  • Applicants selected must have a government security background investigation completed and must meet eligibility requirements for access to
  • classified information
