Analog Mixed Signal Applications Engineer: Silicon Recruiters

We are looking for Applications engineers in the area of Mixed Signal- data converters.

The positions are in the Silicon Valley ( Milpitas , Sunnyvale ) and Southern California ( Irvine / San Diego )

Job Description:

· Design and implement test setups for evaluating, characterizing and debugging analog and mixed signal ICs.

· Design and implement both hardware and software systems together with ongoing development of custom modules specific to new IC designs

· Develop PC-based software to automate the characterization of the IC. Require good understanding of datasheet specifications of ADCs, DACs and filters, both static and dynamic, as well as timing characteristics

· Interface with design and test to complete characterization in a timely manner

· Will design, build and test custom demonstration circuits to customer specifications to support the sales of high speed ADCs and other mixed signal parts

· Failure analysis support, writing applications notes and design articles and providing input on new product ideas

· Solid and broad understanding of circuit design, circuit layout and system design is required. You must also possess proficiency with PCB layout tools and SPICE simulators

Qualifications and Requirements:

· BSEE with 5 years plus experience in mixed-signal I.C. design, or MSEE with 3 years of applicable analog I.C. test experience

· Proficiency in writing codes using C++, Visual Basic or National Instruments’ Labview software is highly desirable.

· Require good understanding of datasheet specifications of ADCs, DACs and filters, both static and dynamic, as well as timing characteristics

· Require several years experience in characterization of mostly analog and/or mixed signal ICs. Experience in testing high speed/high resolution ADCs and DACs is very desirable. Understanding of HPIB/GPIB, various equipment such as spectrum analyzers, digitizing scopes, logic analyzers, and high frequency signal sources are required.
