JOB SUMMARY: An experienced management position in the Schneider Financial Team which will provide analysis and insight on a broad spectrum of operational and financial issues. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage other leaders on the financial team and to influence decisions of senior leaders within your line of business. Additionally, this role is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of profit and loss performance of a line of business including forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Meet all financial team deadlines to include month end, quarter and year end close duties, balance sheet management, forecasting, budgeting and reporting requirements. Ensures tim 2. Effectively lead and develop a team of financial associates. 3. Provide reporting and analysis, financial understanding and business perspectives on many financial and operational issues. Examples include: Ø Revenue enhancement opportunities Ø Business expansion or new ventures Ø Policy or internal control related matters 4. Analyze operating procedures and expenditures on an ongoing basis and recommend / implement cost reduction plans where appropriate. Push the organization to develop a “low cost” attitude. 5. Incorporates a strong understanding of issues relevant to the enterprise in decision making. Recognizes and effectively balances the needs of the line of business with those of the organization. 6. Create and maintain adequate internal controls. 7. Various ad-hoc reporting, project work, process redesign involvement, etc. EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Bachelors degree in Accounting with 8-10 years of practical work experience. MBA, CPA or CMA a plus. 2. A combination of financial, operations, and/or analytical experiences that include experience in a multi-division corporation. 3. Contemporary knowledge of automated financial systems and personal computers. 4. Strong leadership and ability to influence skills to manage other leaders and to influence senior leaders in customer group. 5. Ability to explain and communicate complex issues in commonly understood language.
