Primary Responsibilities
- Participates in Global Code Management Toolkit activities, both in office and remotely.
- As a Senior Coding Analyst, the incumbent is expected to function with a high degree of independence in general.
- Provides coding translation between ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-CM/PCS for the Global Code management Toolkit (GCMT)
- Prepares and presents preliminary findings to management as part of their routine activities.
- Identifies additional data that may be utilized to provide value added code translation.
- Promotes team atmosphere and collaborative environment to complete ICD-9 or ICD-9-CM to ICD-10-CM/PCS mappings.
- Provides feedback with regards to the development of the GCMT.
- Keeps up-to-date with regard to new governmental regulations related to compliance, HIPAA, and prospective payment systems.
- Develops and maintains a working knowledge of basic Ingenix software products that relate to specific project requirements or opportunities.
- Provides educational sessions to internal and external clients as may be required to promote Ingenix software and consulting services.
- Builds and maintains relationships with appropriate Ingenix staff.
- Provides feedback on Ingenix products and market opportunities to Product Managers and developers that is generally considered to be timely, accurate, and helpful.
- Performs other duties as requested.

- Bachelors Degree Required (preferably in health care related field)
- Master's Degree Preferred
- RHIA, RHIT or CCS - experience/certifications preferred
- ICD-9 knowledge required, ICD-10 knowledge a plus!

- Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses.
- Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks.
