Operations Manager/Sr. Project Manager: Berman Larson Kane

DESCRIPTION:

• Responsibility for all project related activities and deliverables, with support of Business Unit Director.
• Management of production team to include recruitment, training, supervision and development of the team in an effort to maximize revenue, while maintaining high levels of motivation and personal satisfaction levels.
• Development and implementation of the correct project methodology and process, in line with company standard processes, by planning and working with the project managers and departmental leads to optimize approach to project, customer satisfaction, staff utilization, revenue and profitability.
• Setting up training and development plans for staff by maintaining and performing appraisals, setting and monitoring objectives and taking early corrective action in the event of issues.
• Obtaining an effective and complete overview of all projects and awareness of all potential issues through regular meetings with production teams in order to avoid or minimize any project issues (with support of teams leads).
• Ensuring appropriate allocation of resources, adherence to deadlines and effective communication with Project Managers.
• Escalation point for customers and production teams and responsibility for raising any client or personnel issues with Business Unit Director.
• Monitoring production teams' progress and quality, ensuring objectives are clearly delegated, and any resource or quality issues are addressed. (with support of Business Unit Director).
• Act as back-up for Business Unit Director.
• There is a possibility of relocation assistance.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3 years experience in translation-localization industry.
• Minimum 5 years in senior management and/or operations.
• Managed budget in excess of $5 million.
• Thorough knowledge of localization technology and processes.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Open to some travel.
