Programmer: MK Technical Services, Inc.

This job will be for one year starting in Jan of 2010 and will be for 20 hours a week from 2 to 6 pm. The work will take place at the customers’ site in Sacramento .

Two professional references are required reflecting programming experience.

Project Task Requirements

A. The programmer shall split data from each of the following six (6) Licensing and Enforcement System Data Files, and create six (6) new files that will accommodate data growth.

File 1: Judgment File

File 2: Licensing Cashiering File

File 3: License Exam (HIC) File

File 4: License File

File 5: Miscellaneous Cashiering File

File 6: Pending Application Cashiering File

B. To split the specific data from the above listed data files, the programmer shall perform the following programming cycle for each of the data files:

• Assess current data file structure, understand requirements and identify process to apply changes.
• Create goals that address CSLB criteria for task assignment completion.
• Request database changes from DBA for new file and changes to existing file(s).
• Identify all programs (batch and online), and maps that require modification to access the new file.
• Perform extensive modification to identified programs and maps.
• Conduct testing of programs to ensure the overall system functionality works as identified in task requirements.
• Create documentation of all changes for presentation to the CSLB Project Manager.
• Present programs to the CSLB Project Manager

Experience & Education Requirements

A. The programmer must have knowledge of State licensing and enforcement systems with a minimum of:

1. Four (4) years experience in:

§ Natural 4.1 structured programming Adabas

§ Time Sharing Option (TSO)

§ Job Control Language (JCL)

2. A four (4) year Degree or equivalent.

3. Four (4) years of experience in providing technical programming and analysis in support of the design, development and enhancement of complex computer and related systems using specified programming languages. Demonstrates highly-developed programming and analysis skills, ability to solve complex systems and programming problems and a well-developed knowledge of principles of systems analysis and design.

4. Four (4) years of functional responsibility for performing a range of functions in areas such as complex application systems design, applications programming, database design, conversion, implementation, performance measurement and evaluation, and conferring with management and users to define requirements and development of alternative methods.
