| Complete Description This is a grant supported position with a limited time frame. This position exists to coordinate research studies at Adena Health System-Bone and Joint. The incumbent will work with Principal Investigators/Co-Investigators under the direction of the Service Line Director to implement research protocols. The incumbent will have responsibility to interface with the principal investigator, study coordinators, attending physicians, and other hospital personnel to obtain accurate clinical data and ensure that protocols are completed correctly and in a timely fashion. The incumbent will contact potential subjects, explain the research protocol, and obtain their consent. The incumbent will maintain accurate records as defined in approved protocols and enter data on appropriate forms or into databases as required. The incumbent will schedule hospital, home and office visits with the enrolled participant, contact their primary physician to obtain additional information, and prepare accurate summaries of information. Will work with an interdisciplinary community action group to complete protocol. This position has no direct patient care contact, has access to confidential employee/organizational information, health system funds, and will function independently in collaboration with other key organizational members. Education: A Bachelors Degree in Nursing is required. Current Ohio RN license required. Experience: Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience, 5 years experience in an acute care institution is preferred. The ability to independently determine patient eligibility criteria and interact with investigators and sponsor physicians is critical. Clinical practice skills are necessary. Orientation to detail, familiarity with research methods, an ability to work independently and an ability to prioritize are expected.
