Job Summary:

Responsible for informing employees of benefits eligibility and notifying insurance carriers of new or changed information. Assist employees with various benefit related issues. Apply documented procedures/processes to ensure accuracy of output.

Minimum Requirements:

- Minimum of High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).

- At least one year of benefits exposure in the administration of health, dental and other group benefits, preferably at the insurance carrier or agency level.

- Working knowledge of PC applications including Excel, Word and Outlook.

- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain eligibility under the Company driver evaluation program.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding employee information.

- Answer employee and client questions regarding eligibility for benefits.

- Process, verify, and maintain documentation relating to benefits such as medical, dental, life and other benefit plans.

- Notify insurance carriers of new or changed information.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with all levels within and outside of the organization.

- Must be highly organized and detail oriented.

- Excellent customer service skills to include discretion, patience and outgoing personality.

- Accurately perform basic mathematical calculations.

- Assist with other duties as assigned.
