Great opportunity for a Senior C++ Software Engineer. Key challenges will be to further improve latency and throughput rates, to add a significant number of new feeds and ensure high quality service for existing clients.
o Participate in project planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements and work with project teams to define scope for each project
o Develop and integrate applications per written specifications. May also be responsible for writing moderate to complex design specifications
o Translate technical requirements into application code and modules
o Interface with the Business Analysts and Technical Team Leads to ensure the proper requirements are understood and being met
o Interface with QA to ensure the application performs as, or better, than expected
o Make moderate to complex modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with written specifications and industry standards
o Develop software application modules using disciplined software development processes
o Perform unit tests on applications written by self and others
o Write additional unit tests for new functional requirements
Required Skills:
o 5-10 years professional C++ experience
o Experience of formal software development lifecycle
o Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio is desired
o Good understanding of programming and troubleshooting techniques within a real time application environment
o Working experience in writing and debugging multithreaded applications
o Knowledge of communications protocols, such as TCP/IP, and experience of distributed networks an advantage
