Front End Web Designer/Programmer

Site innovations, upkeep, aesthetics and organization that make it easier for people to shop for chairs, as well to find us, are critical to Internet based companies – designing, creatively thinking and programming site changes as well as media and advertising creative is what this job entails; leading these initiatives and driving their implementation is just as, if not more, important to success at this position. We are currently interviewing for a Lead Web Designer/Programmer position in the Miramar area; the position has the following pre-requisites:
- Creativity
- Able to create advertisements, banners, etc. that accurately reflect brand
- Photoshop or other graphic design software knowledge required
- Ideas/programs that improve customer experience on site
- Website Building : Able to edit in both languages (Cascading Style Sheets, HTML, DIV Sheets), make changes to site graphically
- Landing Page creation, banner ad creation, etc.
- Job is highly tuned to making visual changes to the site on a daily basis, as well as understanding what works and what doesn't and adjusting the site accordingly.
- Willing to learn about products
- Highly multi-tasking and organized
- Able to handle multiple projects, as well as assist in other tasks and functions when needed.
- Will be implementing site changes for sister company Shore Total Office as well, so organization is critical to success
- Open, positive, and energetic attitude – willing to drive site innovation!
- Openness to do extra work when needed
- Willing to engage customers if needed
- Above and beyond the job description…
- Knowledge of Search Engine Marketing and Optimization and how it applies to a website
- Implementing SEM/SEO plan
- Blogging, link building, etc. if needed
- Total team player – Whatever it takes!
- Knowledge or willingness to learn video editing software.
- Website Usability;ity - must understand term and how to design a site around said term.
Encouraged Technical Knowledge:
* PHP & Object Oriented PHP (MUST have a minimum of 2 years experience)
* MySQL (MUST have a minimum of 2 years experience)
* Javascript, HTML/CSS, XML (MUST have a minimum of 2 years experience)
* Coding Guidelines and Frameworks (Knowledge / Experience a plus)
* Code optimization (Knowledge / Experience a plus)
* Caching / Scaling (Knowledge / Experience a plus)
* E-commerce Development (Knowledge / Experience a plus)
* Social Networking Development (Knowledge / Experience a plus)
* CMS Development (Knowledge / Experience a plus)
