Staff Medical Assistant: Summary: Under close supervision of nursing leadership, supports provider practice by assisting with direct patient care duties. May perform diagnostic testing, maintain supply inventory levels, and clean and maintain medical equipment. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Previous work experience as a Medical Assistant (6 months minimum in a physician's office). Knowledge of medical terminology Knowledge of the scope of practice in the Medical Assistant role. Good interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to give injections within 90 days of hire. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work as a team member. Previous experience with and/or ability to learn and utilize computerized patient care management applications. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. LVN: Summary: Provides direct patient care in the clinic by performing focused patient assessments. Collects additional assessment data or initiates treatments based on findings. Facilitates prompt disposition of physician orders including lab results, treatments, reports, diagnostic tests, and administration of medications. Additionally provides patient care via the telephone through patient assessment and communicates the plan of care based on physician orders or established protocols.
Minimum Qualifications: Licensed Nurse in the State of Texas. Previous experience in an ambulatory or acute care setting preferred. Previous experience with and/or ability to learn and utilize computerized patient care management applications.
OR
RN: Summary: Provides comprehensive nursing assessment and collaborates with physician to provide direct patient care in a clinic setting. The registered nurse utilizes critical thinking skills to initiate treatments based on findings. Facilitates prompt disposition of physician orders including lab results, treatments, reports, diagnostic tests, and administration of medications. Additionally provides patient care via the telephone through patient assessment and establishes the plan of care based on physician orders or established protocols. Initiates and maintains short term IV therapy and provides patient education related to practice area.
Minimum Qualifications: Registered Nurse in the State of Texas. Previous experience in an ambulatory or acute care setting preferred. Previous experience with and/or ability to learn and utilize computerized patient care management applications.
Work Schedule: This position works on an as needed basis (PRN) at various clinic locations.
