Tri-State’s power is generated through a combination of owned baseload and peaking power plants that use coal and natural gas as their primary fuels, supplemented by purchased power, federal hydroelectricity allocations and renewable resource technologies. Cleans plant building and grounds, operates light equipment, assists journeymen and other skilled and semi-skilled personnel in the performance of hands-on maintenance and operations tasks.

(Two positions available)

  • Must pass TABE Math and Reading test and SRA Mechanical Concepts test.

  • Must successfully pass test and/or demonstrate they have read and understand the following prior to Step/Grade movement: Safety Manual, Clearance Procedure, Emergency Preparedness, Waste Management Procedure, Benefit Manual, First Aid/CPR.

  • Must complete a minimum of 40 hours of Forklift training prior to Step/Grade movement.

  • Must be able to demonstrate that he/she can perform all of the essential functions of the position.

  • Must be able to perform heavy work requiring lifting over 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Must be able to work in confined spaces and in high places. A substantial amount of standing, walking, and climbing of ladders and stairs is required.

  • Must be willing and able to work different work schedules, rotating shifts, and subject to "on call" status (availability) at management discretion and depending on the area where the individual is currently assigned.

  • Must reside within a one hour reporting time of the Escalante Generating Station.
