Overview:

Bloomingdale's Studio Services selling focus is to develop a profitable client base of costumers and stylists in the television, movie and print businesses who wardrobe for these industries. The Manager of Studio Services will ensure that Bloomingdale's consistently offers comprehensive assistance to these clients. This will be accomplished through developing and implementing strategies to satisfy a full array of business needs including building and cultivating a team that is responsive to the needs of the Studio clients, consistently delivering high standards of service, and operating procedures and guidelines to facilitate an efficient process. As a result, Studio Services will achieve sales volume growth. This position is based at Bloomingdale's Sherman Oaks store.


Key Accountabilities:
  • Achieve sales, service and client development goals for Studio Services.
  • Proactively develop a consistent flow of new Studio business and growth opportunities in addition to maintaining existing clients.
  • Source all trade publications, on-line resources and referrals for current and upcoming film/print production opportunities.
  • Maintain consistent knowledge of fashion trends; merchandise assortment, and vendor information.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor talented individuals with sales experience and knowledge of the Studio business.
  • Cultivate strong business partnerships with Studio Store/Central teams, Credit Center, Central Merchants, Fashion Office, Loss Prevention, and Store Management to drive the business and to serve as a role model of "Teamwork".
  • Role model outstanding service. Consistently demonstrate a professional, polished, and knowledgeable manner.
  • Ensure that all Studio accounts are maintained in good standing and any credit issues/concerns are resolved effectively and on a timely basis.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the Studio Services memo system terms and conditions, including memo period and restocking fees.
Skills Summary:
  • 4-Year College Degree Required
  • 5 years management experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Experience in fashion/retail industry
  • Local industry contacts desirable
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Strong interest in fashion and current trends
