Process Engineer

General Summary:
Develops new or modified electrical process formulations, defines electrical equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication and evaluation of data storage and test equipment. Reviews electrical product requirements with design staff to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Compiles and evaluates electrical test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications. May conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes. Requires interaction with Plant Facilities, contractors, and suppliers.
Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in applicable discipline, plus working knowledge of other related fields.
Provides resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems. Uses judgement within defined policies and practices
Works under limited direction. Determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met.
Contributes to the development of organization's goals and objectives. Failure to obtain results or erroneous judgements or recommendations would normally have serious results and may require substantial expenditure of resources to correct and/or achieve project goals.
Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents the organization on projects and may perform in project leadership role and/or may supervise the activities of lower level personnel (exempt professional and non-exempt).
Provide electrical guidance and support for Manufacturing and Test related activities. Define guidelines to insure that all assembly and test equipment meets applicable electrical codes.
Monitor Manufacturing and test power usage to insure that electrical load remains balanced for the facility.
Evaluate methods to reduce electrical consumption in the Manufacturing and Test processes.
Review current and futureManufacturing and Test processes and provide electrical specifications to Facilities for Manufacturing/Test projects.
General knowledge of six sigma and process engineering diciplines.
Ability to clearly communicate on various levels both written and orally.

SKILLS:

AutoCAD skills
General knowledge and application of engineering concepts.
Bachelors Degree and 3-6 years experience preferred.
