Electronics Test Technician

What would you be doing?

As our client’s Electronics Test Technician, you would be responsible for troubleshooting, de-bugging and performing maintenance on testing equipment. Other responsibilities would include:
  • Identifying defects in SMD electronics and repairing or replacing defective Surface Mounted Components
  • Performing preventative maintenance on testing machines
  • Assisting equipment operators with questions or problems regarding their machinery
  • Supporting engineers on projects as needed

We’re seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic technician with great people skills to really communicate with the employees they support. Sound like the job for you? If you’re an electronics expert you might be the person we’re looking for. Here are a few other things we’re seeking in the ideal candidate:
  • Experience working in a Surface Mounted Device manufacturing environment supporting test equipment
  • Skill with working on in-circuit testers
  • Associates Degree in Electronics or Computer Science - Bachelor’s a plus
  • Strong people skills with exemplary written and verbal communication ability
  • Understanding and ability to learn operating systems and new applications quickly
  • Excel skills helpful
  • Familiarity with MS Excel preferred
  • Previous experience working in the automotive industry preferred
